Anderson Cooper discovered this talented treat when he held his own version of America's Got Talent on his talk show.
This painter showed up, promised Cooper and his co-judges (including Sharon Osbourne) a masterpiece in under two minutes. They were doubtful. Then they were proved wrong -- very wrong.
Who knew "speed painting" was even a thing?

[Libre] TPB AFK: Watch and Download The Pirate Bay Documentary NOW
The Pirate Bay is one of the best known file-sharing brands and the site has a well-earned place in Internet history.The BitTorrent site and its founders have been targeted by several court cases over the years, and Swedish filmmaker and producer Simon Klose has documented part of this struggle.
The result is TPB AFK, a dark documentary that follows the three Pirate Bay founders during their trials in Sweden up until the final verdict. The project started more than four years ago and today it premieres at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival.
In a world first the documentary is available simultaneously on a BitTorrent tracker near you as part of the official release.

For those who have been following TorrentFreak for a while the film will not bring many shocking revelations. However, it does provide a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the dozens of news events that were reported during the Pirate Bay trials.
What not many people know is that the three founders of The Pirate Bay often pretended to get along in public, but had some big fallouts in private. This also becomes apparent in the documentary.
Peter Sunde, one of the three founders followed in the documentary, previously told TorrentFreak that he has mixed feelings about the final TPB AFK cut but that “it tells an important story.”
TPB-AFK highlights a lot of the negative events the three founders went through, ending with the final guilty verdict early last year. Needless to say these events had quite an impact on their lives.
“It’s still a fucked up story and the film makes me think about the past years of my life quite a lot,” Sunde says.
The Pirate Bay founder added that he might have chosen other material to include and that many of the good parts have been left out.
“It’s Simon’s decision what to include and it’s his view of our story. I like that he’s independent from us and that he’s promised to release lots of extra material for some of the things that I might have wanted to have included,” Sunde said.
Those who’ve seen TPB AFK will understand Sunde’s sentiment. Perhaps that’s what makes the documentary even more compelling. A must watch.

[Utile] Easily Share Free Books With Your Friends Using Ownshelf
Browse the books your friends are reading – or share collections with your friends. You and your friends can download the books to read later. It’s called Ownshelf and it’s intended to be a way for friends to share freely distributable books.It’s possible to use this to distribute copy-written material – because of encryption, Ownshelf wouldn’t even necessarily know you were doing so. This is not the intended use of the app, however: it’s supposed to be a way for people to share works in the public domain or otherwise free to spread.
There might be copyright issues here, long term, as The Next Web pointed out.
“We promote and provide books that are public domain or creative commons. Of course what users actually upload to their personal shelf is up to them,” said founder Rick Marazzani, according to the article. “We hope that by using real names and real friends via Facebook that people will stick to what they deem as fair use. All the content on the server is encrypted, so we cannot see what’s in the user’s files. So we could not manage DRM or rights centrally.”
So this is a great tool that may or may not end up being abused by pirates – much like the Internet itself. But enough background: let’s see just how Ownshelf works.
Your Online Bookshelf
Head to OwnShelf.com to get started. You’ll need a Facebook account to log in; there is unfortunately no email-only option. When you do log in you’ll be presented with an empty shelf and the ability to browse your friends’ books. If none of your friends use OwnShelf (likely) you’ll still see three sets of books to browse: the shelves of Paulo Coelho and MC Lars alongside a collection of books that later turned into movies. Feel free to browse these collections to discover how the site looks.
Click on any book and you’ll see the option to “borrow” it.
If you “Borrow” the book it will show up on your “Books” page, along with any EPUB files you’ve uploaded to the service yourself (more on uploading later).
Click any of the books and you’ll be given the opportunity to download them as EPUB files.
You can easily add these books to your iPad or iPhone using iTunes, or add them to any e-reader that natively supports EPUB files (Kobo, Nook). If you want to send this file to your Kindle Nook or just about any e-reader on the market, try Calibre. We offer a free Calibre manual if you need help.
Uploading Books
You can upload books from the “Books” page of OwnShelf; the button for doing so is right at the top. You’ll be able to browse your computer and add as many EPUB files as you like.Want some books to upload? Why not grab free EPUB versions of our many manuals? They are free to download and to distribute. I uploaded a bunch of them to Ownshelf; you could too and share the information we offer with friends quickly and easily.

[Intéressant] ‘I Have a Dream’ Posted in Defiance of Copyright for Internet Freedom Day
As Friday is one year since the Internet blackout against the Stop Online Piracy Act, some Internet activists are marking the date by declaring "Internet Freedom Day."How does one celebrate Internet Freedom Day? Fight for the Future, an advocacy group that played a key role in SOPA's defeat, is commemorating the date by uploading and sharing footage of Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
Why is that a radical move? Footage of the speech is copyrighted by EMI, which has issued takedown notices several times after the speech has been uploaded to services such as YouTube.

Amazon, Cdiscount, Darty.com - Point de Vue et Histoire Vécue.
A force de faire des achats sur Internet, je tombe quelquefois sur des e-commerçants qui sortent de l'ordinaire. Combinée aux soldes de juillet qui m'ont fait acheter sur Amazon et sur Cdiscount, ma toute récente "mésaventure" avec Darty.com me pousse à écrire ce billet.Amazon: en toute confiance
Pour moi, Amazon est tout simplement LE meilleur, systématiquement, en terme de Service au Client:
- simplicité et clarté du processus d'achat
- délais de livraison très rapides et respectés [souvent, ça arrive plus vite que prévu]
- retours simples, efficaces et sans galère, remboursement immédiat [et pas sous forme d'avoir]!
- prix corrects, voire excellents...
Cdiscount: "charlot" du e-commerce
Je continue à acheter sur Cdiscount, mais uniquement pendants les soldes ou quand les prix sont vraiment canons. Mais je juge leur Service Client déplorable:
- navigation sur le site exécrable
- publicités à la limite du mensonger [soldes, ventes flash, promotions, etc...]
- délais de livraison jamais respectés [avec force messages ridicules cependant]
- produits souvent en rupture de stock [attribution d'un avoir et non d'un remboursement immédiat, pas de remboursement des frais de livraison payés "en trop" pour le reste de la commande...!]
- IMPOSSIBILITE de joindre le service clients ou même de lui laisser un message. Après avoir, difficilement, trouvé comment laisser un message, voici la page que j'obtiens systématiquement!
Dommage que notre distributeur d'électro-ménager national - qui a bâti sa réputation sur le "contrat de confiance" et le SAV - soit un véritable débutant en matière d'e-commerce!
Je viens de vivre une expérience pour le moins édifiante avec Darty.com:
Vendredi 6 juillet - commande et livraison d'une machine à laver LG
- Vendredi 6 juillet, au petit matin, je commande - au prix fort, 579€ - une machine à laver LG pour remplacer notre "vieille" [moins de 5 ans!] machine dont l'électronique est défaillante. Comme nous lavons plutôt beaucoup, et que nous prévoyons d'être au travail hors de chez nous toute la semaine d'après, je paie 39€ de plus pour faire livrer la machine LE SOIR MEME [la livraison "gratuite" ne pouvait être faite qu'à partir du mardi d'après...]. Jusque là, pas de problème. J'ai choisi Darty car ni Amazon, ni RueDuCommerce, ni bien sûr CDiscount [pas cher pour le coup pour une LG à vapeur...] ne proposent une VRAIE installation de la nouvelle machine [j'aurais sans hésiter acheté sur Amazon]
- Vendredi 6 juillet au soir, 2 livreurs en camion de location [pas Darty!] font l'échange des 2 machines et repartent en moins de 15mn, non sans m'avoir montré que l'électricité fonctionne [bandeau de la machine allumé] et avoir répondu à mon interrogation sur le calage des pieds par "vous voyez bien, la machine est stable, pas de problème]. Un peu léger, mais bon, tout semble bien et je lance une première lessive "pour voir".
- Dès le premier lavages, le doute s'installe: la machine vibre et "saute" horriblement, et ce malgré mes piêtres essais de réglages.
- Samedi 7 au matin, nouvel essai avec un programme plus long, nouveaux problèmes: Je retrouve ma buanderie inondée et, bien sûr, les vibrations sont toujours là et bien là.
- J'aspire l'eau, je refais un lavage pour voir d'où vient le débordement, puis j'appelle le service "Clients" de Darty: 0978 970 970 (prix d'un appel local), dites "suivi"
- Je demande le passage d'un technicien. On me répond qu'un technicien va me rappeler et me dépanner par téléphone! Malgré ma demande, rien à faire, ce sera un rappel.
- Un peu plus tard, un technicien me rappelle effectivement. Pour ce qui concerne le débordement, il m'indique immédiatement que ça doit être mon tuyau d'évacuation qui est bouché. Il me fait simplement constater que le problème est toujours là et me laisse règler ce problème par moi-même. Là où les choses deviennent intéressantes, c'est quand il me dit sans sourciller que mes problèmes de vibrations sont normaux car "les nouvelles machines ne sont plus comme les anciennes" et que, donc, elles vibrent PLUS et non moins! Il me laisse donc me débrouiller.
- Je décide d'aller acheter du D-stop à Auchan et des "patins anti vibrations" à 9€99 au Darty du coin. Le vendeur de Darty m'affirme que je n'aurai plus aucun problème avec ces patins!
- Je positionne tant bien que mal les patins sous la machine [il m'aura fallu un peu d'huile de coude pour déplacer et replacer la machine, bien sûr...] et je réessaie... sans succès... grosses vibrations toujours là. Par contre, le débordement a disparu. Quelque chose avait effectivement bouché l'écoulement [bizarre que ça se soit produit juste après la mise en service de la nouvelle machine!].
- Après plusieurs nouveaux essais, recherches de solutions et d'alternatives, discussions avec Christine, nous décidons de changer de machine et je porte mon choix sur une Miele 2 fois plus chère que la LG.
- J'appelle le 0978 970 970 pour demander le changement de machine. Pendant que j'y suis, je demande à bénéficier d'un alignement sur la concurrence [cf cette video sur le remboursement de la différence] après avoir trouvé la même machine à 114€ de moins sur RueDuCommerce et ailleurs. Fin de non recevoir. On ne me propose même pas un petit geste commercial. Mais le meilleur arrive: "Darty.com va vous rappeler, nous nous ne pouvons pas finaliser l'échange directement".
- Pas de rappel de Darty.com [malgré des rappels de ma part au 0978 970 970].
- Entretemps, j'ai trouvé le numéro du siège social de Darty à Bondy sur Réponse à Tout:
- La (charmante au demeurant) standardiste me demande d'appeler le 0978 970 970 en spécifiant que je désire me plaindre auprès du Service Consommateurs afin que celui-ci me rappelle, ce que je fais... et... personne ne me rappelle.
- Pour la bonne forme, je remplis également successivement 2 formulaires de demande de contact sur le site web de Darty. J'obtiens 2 accusés de réception dans ma boite mail, avec promesse de traitement de ma demande et... personne ne traite...
- Appel de Darty.com en numéro privé caché sur mon portable, juste au moment où je ne peux pas le prendre. Sympathique message m'expliquant que "pas de problème, nous pouvons bien vous échanger la machine, il vous suffit de rappeler le 0978 970 970 pour fixer le RV avec le livreur]
- Dans l'après-midi, après avoir pris connaissance du message, j'appelle et reçois... la réponse habituelle: "Non, nous ne pouvons rien faire, c'est à Darty.com de vous rappeler, je laisse le message".
- Comble, je me fais réprimander car JE n'ai pas répondu au SEUL appel téléphonique de Darty.com!
Mardi 17, mercredi 18 juillet - cercle vicieux!
- Pas de nouvel appel de Darty.com [et bien sûr aucune nouvelle du service consommateur, ni par téléphone, ni par mail]
- Je rappelle chaque jour le 0978 970 970 [appel payant, j'attends ma facture de téléphone!] pour m'entendre dire que [1] "pour le service consommateur, vous devez envoyer un courrier par la poste, c'est le seul moyen de les contacter" [2] "Darty.com a pris du retard dans le traitement des demandes et c'est pour ça que vous n'avez pas encore été rappelé" !
- Mercredi soir, je me connecte sur le compte Twitter de Darty pour laisser 2 msg, puis sur Facebook à partir duquel je réussis à "voir" une page du CONFIANCOLOGUE!!!! Darty/
- Je lui laisse donc un 3ème message en n'omettant pas de donner des détails sur la commande...
- Nouvel appel masqué de Darty.com. Cette fois-ci, j'arrive à décrocher à temps!
- ENFIN, on me propose l'échange de la LG pour la Miele.
- Je demande une petite réduction de 5% [que j'aurais obtenue sans problème dans un magasin Darty].
- Après m'avoir fait patienter 5 mn pour parler à son manager, la "vendeuse" m'octroie royalement 4% [mesquin!], soit environ 50€ de réduction.
- Un RV de livraison est fixé pour ce samedi 21 - entre 8h et 13h [évidemment!]
- Et pour finir, en soirée, je suis appelé par un charmant jeune homme qui a vu mes messages au Confiancologue et avec lequel je m'entretiens plusieurs minutes.
- Il m'explique que j'aurais pu cliquer sur 36000 solutions afin d'avoir accès plus rapidement au Confiancologue! Il faut deviner que, pour contacter Darty, il faut cliquer sur "36000 solutions" et non "contact"!
- Les livreurs Darty m'ont appelé à 11h ce matin pour me dire qu'ils arriveraient un peu avant midi.
- Ils ont installé la machine mais n'ont pas voulu rester jusqu'au bout d'un cycle d'essorage.
- Après m'avoir dit que c'étaient les patins qui avaient créé les vibrations [faux], ils ont critiqué leur collègue qui avait installé la précédente machine. Super!
- Ouf, ça semble aller. Nous en sommes à notre deuxième lavage et, pour le moment, tout va bien.
- Je vais envoyer mon Feedback au charmant jeune homme du service consommateur qui, bon prince, m'a promis un bon d'achat de 40€ [pour compenser les 39€ de frais de livraison initiaux]!

Ecran total à Roland Garros - Merci IBM !
Il faisait beau et chaud ce samedi à Roland Garros où nous [Nicolas, Loic et d'autres heureux invités] avons pu profiter de la loge IBM avant de visiter les coulisses et mieux comprendre comment le "Cloud" IBM assurait un service gagnant!
